What is Hepatitis B Profile?
Hepatitis B Profile is a blood test performed to know if there is a Hepatitis B virus. The tests can also show if you had the infection in the past.
Why do you need to take this test?

There is very little chance of a problem from having a blood sample taken (healthlink).
- You may get a small bruise at the site. You can lower the chance of bruising by keeping pressure on the site for several minutes.
- In rare cases, the vein may become swollen after the blood sample is taken. You can use a warm compress several times a day to treat this effect.
